“FRIED LIMA BEANS” IS IN:

FRIED LIMA BEANS 
1 1/2 to 2 tsp. bacon drippings
1/4 cup minced onion
1 pkg. frozen baby lima beans
2 dashes Tabasco
1/8 tsp. Accent (MSG, optional)
1/3 cup water

If possible remove lima beans from freezer and hour or two before preparation. I find that PictSweet and Kroger house brands are significantly better than any others I've found.

In 1 to 2-quart heavy saucepan saute onions in bacon drippings over medium-low heat. Do not burn unions. Raise heat to medium-high and add lima beans. Cook about 4-7 minutes stirring 2-3 times. Some of the limas should appear slightly burned. Add Tabasco, MSG (if used) and water. Bring to boil, reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding more water if necessary.
