3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
1 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 tsp. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. oatmeal
1 (12 oz.) chocolate chips
Nuts, optional

Beat sugars, Crisco, eggs, hot water and vanilla until smooth. Add remaining ingredients. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
