HOT MILK TOASTED COCONUT CAKE 
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. hot milk
2 tbsp. butter

Beat eggs, add sugar gradually. Add flour, sifted together with baking powder and salt. Beat well. Add vanilla. Add hot milk in which butter has been melted. Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees 30-35 minutes.

TOPPING:

10 tbsp. brown sugar
1 c. coconut
5 tbsp. top milk, or cream
2 tbsp. butter

Place pan on top of oven while cake is baking. Spread on top of finished cake and place under broiler until brown. 1 cup nutmeats may be added to topping if desired.
