ALMOND PURSES (MANDULOS
SUTEMENY)
 
1/2 lb. sweet butter
3 c. flour
1/4 c. milk
6 egg yolks
Pinch of salt

ALMOND FILLING:

1 lb. ground almonds
6 egg whites
2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. lemon or orange rind

Mix flour and cold butter together (like pie dough). Form dough into the size of walnuts. Refrigerate. Roll each chilled ball out thin or pat out on a slightly powdered sugar dusted board. Fill then fold over as purse with ends on the bottom. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned. You may drizzle a little steam of melted chocolate over it you want them to look fancy.
