OATMEAL CAKE 
1 c. 3 minute oats
1 1/3 c. water
1 stick butter
2 eggs
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt

Bring water to boil. Add oats and butter. Turn off fire. Cool mixture. Beat eggs. Add brown sugar and sugar. Add cooled oatmeal mixture and vanilla to egg mixture. Mix dry ingredients and add to other mixture. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done.

OATMEAL CAKE ICING:

6 tbsp. butter, softened
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut

Mix all ingredients well and spread on hot cake. Put under broiler just until coconut is toasted.
