KEPFELS 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. flour

DOUGH #2:
1 c. flour
1/2 c. sour cream
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp. white vinegar

DOUGH #3:
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
1 egg white, beaten

Dough #1: Cut butter into flour and work with hands until it forms a dough. Set aside.

Dough #2: Beat egg yolks, add vinegar and sour cream. Add flour. Form into soft dough. Flour pastry cloth liberally. Place dough #1 on it and flatten with the palm of your hand. Place dough #2 on top of dough #1. Flatten with palm of your hand. Fold upper and lower sides together, then bring opposite sides together. Roll and repeat process until dough is well blended and yellow in color. Refrigerate overnight. Roll thin, cut into 2 1/2 inch triangles.

Combine nuts with sugar, fold into egg white. Put 1/2 teaspoon of nut mixture on wide end of each triangle, roll toward small end. Bake on cookie sheet for 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees or until lightly browned. Cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
