CHINESE CHEWS 
3/4 c. butter
2 1/2 c. brown sugar (1 lb.)
3 tbsp. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. coconut
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs and remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a 9 inch square cake pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Cut through them, even though you do not remove from pan until cool.
