MICRO BRITTLE 
1 c. raw peanuts
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Stir together nuts, sugar, syrup and salt in a 1 1/2 quart casserole, or 4 cup glass measuring cup. Place in microwave and cook 7 to 8 minutes, stirring well after 4 minutes. Add butter and blend well. Return to microwave and cook 2 to 3 minutes more or until nuts are golden brown. Add baking soda and vanilla and gently stir until light and foamy. Pour onto a greased cookie sheet and let cool. When cool break into pieces.

If using nuts other than peanuts, stir nuts in after first four minutes of cooking.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
