BLACK MAGIC CAKE 
1 3/4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. strong black coffee
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk (1 tbsp. vinegar plus milk to equal 1 c.)
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt in large mixing bowl. Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk or sour milk, oil and vanilla. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes (2 - 9" pans) or 35 to 40 minutes in 13"x9"x2" pan. Check for doneness, may need a little longer since it's a thin batter.

FUDGE FROSTING:

1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. heavy cream or evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
5 squares unsweetened chocolate

Combine sugar and cream in heavy saucepan. Bring to boil, then simmer for 6 minutes. Take off heat. Add butter, vanilla and chocolate squares. Mix until well blended. Chill and then beat.
