PEAR OR CUCUMBER SWEET RELISH 
1 gal. ground cucumbers OR hard pears with peels on
4 to 6 med. onions, ground
4 to 6 sm. to med. bell peppers, ground
4 c, vinegar
6 c. sugar
2 tsp. tumeric
Salt to taste, about 2 tbsp.
3/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
2 tbsp. dry mustard

Place all ingredients in stainless kettle and simmer slowly stirring often until vegetables are clear and tender. Put in clean, prepared jars and seal.

Makes about 7 or 8 pints. Ready to eat.
