2 c. self-rising cornmeal
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg
4 tbsp. melted fat or oil

Preheat greased cast iron skillet. Mix the ingredients and pour into hot skillet. Bake at 350 degrees until well done, about 20 to 30 minutes.
