SWEET & SOUR RIBS | |
1-2 slab ribs (back ribs are best), cut in individual ribs 1/2 c. soy sauce 1/2 c. vinegar 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1 (8 oz.) can unsweetened pineapple, drained 1 tbsp. cornstarch mix with warm water Combine soy, vinegar, brown sugar and garlic. Bring to a boil. Add ribs and reduce heat. Cook over low to medium heat for 45 minutes to hour or longer. When the fat has cooked off remove the rib and degrease the remaining sauce. Return it to the pot and bring to a boil. Add the cornstarch. When sauce has thickened return the ribs to the pot and pineapples (optional). Serve with rice. |
