PIE CRUST 
4 c. flour
1 3/4 c. shortening (not oil)
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 egg
1/2 c. water

Mix the first 4 ingredients, until mixture holds together. In small bowl mix vinegar, egg and water and blend into first mixture until moistened. Mold dough into patties and chill. Dough can be stored 3 days or frozen for later use. Makes 5 patties.
