SWEET DILL PICKLES 
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 gallon dill pickles

Drain liquid from pickles. Cut into chunks or lengthwise into about 8 pieces per pickle. Bring sugar and vinegar to a boil, then pour over pickles. Let stand overnight, then refrigerate.
