ENGLISH TOFFEE 
1/2 lb. real butter
1 c. sugar
1/4 lb. whole blanched almonds
2 (1 oz.) sqs. semi-sweet chocolate, melted
Walnuts, finely chopped

Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar and boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in almonds. Boil 3 to 5 minutes longer or until golden brown. Keep stirring. Pour on greased sheet of waxed paper. Spread evenly and thin. Spread chocolate on top. Cover with walnuts. Break into pieces when chocolate sets.
