1 c. brown sugar 1 c. butter 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. toasted almonds, finely chopped Chocolate to coat with Mix soda and vanilla; set aside. Cook butter and sugar slowly over low heat until it reaches 290 degrees on candy thermometer. Stir frequently. When done, add nuts and soda mixture. Stir quickly. Pour thinly on greased pan. Cool partially. Go over candy with tissue to take excess butter. Spread melted chocolate over one side. Cool. Turn. Repeat. |
