1/2 c. Karo syrup 1 c. granulated sugar 2/3 c. pancake syrup 1/4 c. water 1 tbsp. butter not butter 1 tbsp. white vinegar Mix everything but the vinegar. Cook to 265 degrees. Add vinegar. Cook 1 minute more. Pour into WELL buttered pie pan. Keep pulling edges to the center. At this point, add 3 heaping tablespoons peanut butter or 1/2 cup chopped nuts (we substituted this with 3/4 to 1 teaspoon black walnut flavoring). Grease hands and pull until white (this part is still kind of hot for little ones - best for adults). Let kids butter their hands and pull into ropes and cut into pieces. |
