SCOTTY'S FLINT CONEY SAUCE
If you want the real Flint Coney Sauce never use tomato paste or ketchup. Cumin is the key! Now lets get started...

1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
2 medium onions, chopped
salt and pepper, to taste
3 tbsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. prepared yellow mustard
ground cumin, to taste (Note: cumin is key!)
2 cloves garlic, crushed
5 Koegel's hot dogs (if you can find them, if not anything natural casing pork & beef will work)

Lightly brown hamburger, then put everything in a pot except hot dogs, simmer until thick.

Grind hot dogs (food processor works best) then add to pot and cook 15 minutes longer.

Tip: Steam hot dogs first, that will hold in the juices then lightly brown them.

I like to use sliced sweet onions for topping and yellow mustard. But that's just me. Welcome to Flint.
