HOT CURRANT BREAD 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. currants

Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg. Add milk and dry ingredients. Add currants (dust with a little flour). Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle top with cinnamon and sugar before baking.
