MOCK MINCEMEAT 
1 1/2 pts. chopped tart apples
1 pt. chopped green tomatoes
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. each salt, allspice & cloves
3 c. sugar (brown or white)
1 lb. raisins
1/2 c. sweet cider
1 c. chopped beef suet

Chop apples and tomatoes (no need to peel). Mix ingredients together, bring to a rapid boil and simmer until thick. Let cool to room temperature, fill pint zip lock freeze bags and freeze. Keeps well. Good for cookies as well as pies.
