SUNSHINE CAKE | |
4 eggs, separated 3 tbsp. cold water 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 1/2 c. sugar Pinch of salt 1/2 c. boiling water 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla or orange extract 1/2 tsp. almond extract Beat egg whites. When foamy add 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar. Beat until stiff. To egg yolks add cold water, salt and flavoring. Beat until light. Add sugar. Beat until creamy and light. Add boiling water. Mix well. Add flour, mix well. Fold in egg whites. Bake in ungreased tube pan for 1 hour at 325 degrees. |
