NICO'S MONSTER BURGERS WITH
SECRET SAUCE
 
2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
salt and pepper, to taste
1 large sliced tomato
1 sliced red onion
4 slices cheddar cheese
pickle chips
4 hamburger buns
lettuce
olive oil

SECRET SAUCE:

1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp. French dressing
4 tsp. sweet pickle relish
1 tbsp. finely minced white onion
1 tsp. white vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt

Mix the ground beef, onion powder and garlic powder in a large bowl. Season to your liking with salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into four half-pound portions and firmly press each portion into a round patty with your desired thickness. Cover and chill for 15 to 30 minutes.

Heat grill to medium-high heat. Brush the hamburger patties with a little olive oil. Cook the patties for 4 to 6 minutes on each side depending on how well you like them cooked. In the last minute of grilling, place a piece of cheddar cheese on top of each burger.

Combine all of the ingredients for the SECRET SAUCE in a small bowl, transfer to a covered container, and refrigerate so that the flavors blend.

ASSEMBLY:

Assemble the burgers in the following order: Bottom Bun, Burger (with cheese), Secret Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Pickle Chips and finally Top Bun.

Makes 4 (1/2 lb.) burgers.
