NEVER FAIL HOT MILK CAKE 
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
1 c. milk
1 stick butter
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring

Heat milk and butter to boiling point. Beat eggs and sugar. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to eggs and sugar mixture. Add hot milk and butter mixture; mix well. Add vanilla and lemon. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. NOTE: This can be made into a layer cake, cupcakes, pound cake or sheet cake.

ICING:

1 stick butter, melted and cooled
3/4 box Dixie crystal powdered sugar

Add milk to marinate and spread over cool cake.
