SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter (room temp.)
3 c. sugar
6 eggs (room temp.)
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. plain flour sifted with 1/4 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating one minute between each egg, then add sour cream with vanilla, then add flour and soda, mix slowly. Bake at 325 degrees. Tube pan - 1 hour and 15 minutes; sheet cake - 45 minutes.
