VERA'S FRUITCAKE 
1 lb. raisins
4 oz. sultanas
4 oz. glazed cherries
4 oz. currants
4 oz. mixed fruit & peel

Soak fruit in 1/2 cup brandy in a Zip-loc bag overnight.

4 eggs
4 oz. butter
4 oz. brown sugar
8 oz. flour
4 oz. ground almonds
1 tsp. allspice

Cream all ingredients. Butter wax paper and line an 8 inch tin. Bake at 300 degrees for about 2 hours.
