PUMPKIN DESSERT 
1 (18 oz.) box generic cake mix (yellow or white)
1 stick (1/2 c.) butter
1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
5 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt
1 (1 lb.) can pumpkin
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
Whipped cream (for serving)

Mix together dry cake mix with softened 1/2 cup butter and the nuts; set aside.

Beat eggs in large bowl. Add sugars, pumpkin pie spice, dash salt and vanilla, and blend with pumpkin and can of sweetened condensed milk. Put this mixture in a greased, 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle the crumbly cake mixture over the pumpkin mixture in pan.

Bake 30 minutes in 350 degree oven, until cake appears brown and done.

Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream. Serves 12 or more.
