BUTTER PECAN TURTLE SQUARES 
1 c. pecan halves
2 c. flour
1/2 c. softened butter
1 c. brown sugar

Mix flour, sugar, and butter 2 to 3 minutes. Pat into 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle pecan halves on crust.

CARAMEL LAYER:

2/3 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. chocolate chips

Combine caramel ingredients in heavy pan. Cook over medium heat until surface boils. Continue boiling for about 1 minute. Pour caramel over pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 22 minutes until caramel is bubbly. Remove from oven; sprinkle chocolate chips on caramel. Spread until marbly. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
