1 frying chicken, cut country style (about 1 3/4 to 2 lb.) 1 stick butter 1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce Juice from one lemon Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter in pot with tightly fitting lid and add Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. Mix well. Place salt and peppered chicken in pot and stir with butter mixture. Cover pot and leave in oven for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours. Halfway through cooking time stir broth and chicken for an even flavor. The think broth is good as an accompaniment to the meat. |
