POTATOES BAKED 
1/2 c. soft butter
2 lbs. potatoes, pared and thinly sliced
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Preheat oven 425 degrees.

1. With 3 tablespoons butter, grease 8 inch skillet with cover.

2. Gently toss potatoes with salt and pepper. Layer a third of potato slices, circular fashion around bottom and side of skillet. Dot with butter. Repeat twice.

3. Over high heat, cook potatoes 3 minutes. Then bake covered 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake 5 minutes longer. Let stand 5 minutes. Invert on serving plate. Serves 6.
