APPLE SCOTCH CAKE | |
2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon Sift the above together. 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. sweetened applesauce 2/3 c. butterscotch morsels Cream butter and add sugar gradually. Cream well. Blend in eggs. Add vanilla, beat well. Stir in applesauce. Add the dry ingredients, blend well. Stir in butterscotch morsels. Turn into a 13 x 9 inch pan, well greased, lightly floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost with favorite frosting. This can also be used as bars. Use a jelly roll pan, frost. |
