CREAM OF BROCCOLI SOUP 
1 (16 oz.) bag chopped frozen broccoli
1/2 c. butter
2 onions
2 c. chopped celery
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 c. flour
2 c. milk
2 cans Swansons clear chicken broth
Salt & pepper to taste
Cheese (American slices or Cheez Whiz), optional

Steam broccoli until tender. In large saucepan, melt butter; saute onions, celery and garlic until brown. Stir in flour gradually. Add milk, chicken broth and spices. Stir over low heat until soup thickens. Add broccoli and enough cheese to suit taste.

Cheese is optional but enhances this recipe immensely.
