1 3/4 c. corn meal
4 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
6 tsp. finely chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
2 c. boiling water

Mix all dry ingredients, add chopped onions and beaten egg. Pour boiling water over this mixture. Stir until mixture is smooth. Drop by teaspoonfuls into deep hot fat.
