TOMATO CONSERVE 
3 lbs. ripe tomatoes
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 tbsp. grated lemon rind
1 tsp. grated orange rind
6 1/2 c. sugar
8 oz. bottle fruit pectin (Certo)

Clean tomatoes, peel, cut into eighths. Cook in large saucepan over low heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add lemon juice and grated rinds; stir, add sugar to tomato mixture, blend well, bring to full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Boil hard for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in Certo; let stand 5 minutes. Skim and stir twice. Pour into hot sterilized jars and cover with wax.
