CHERRY CHEESE TORTE 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
2 pkg. (1 8 oz. and 1 3 oz.) cream cheese
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. milk
1 can cherry pie filling

Using 8 or 9 inch round layer cake pans, make and cool cake as directed on package. Soften cream cheese. Add sugar, nutmeg and milk; beat until smooth. Split each layer into 2 thin layers. Spread 1/2 cup cream cheese mixture and 1/2 c. cherry pie filling between each layer and on top of cake. Store in refrigerator.
