LOIS'S BREAKFAST DONUTS 
1/3 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk

Cream butter and sugar; beat in egg. Sift flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg. Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.

Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Melt 1/2 cup butter. Immediately after baking, roll donuts in melted butter, then in cinnamon and sugar.
