OATMEAL SCOTCHIES | |
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened 3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 3 c. quick or old fashioned mother's oats, uncooked 1 (12 oz.) pkg. Nestle Toll House butterscotch morsels Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; set aside. In large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats and butterscotch morsels, drop by measuring tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 7 to 8 minutes for chewy cookies, 9 to 10 minutes for crisper cookies. Let stand on cookie sheets 2 minutes. Remove and cool. Makes 4 dozen. |
