NORWEGIAN SLAW | |
3 heads of cabbage, grated 1 tbsp. salt Mix together. Let stand for 2 hours. Squeeze out juice. Make syrup of 4 cups sugar, 2 cups of vinegar, 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon mustard seed, 1 tablespoon celery seed. Boil 5 minutes and cool. Chop 3 red and green mangos, 1 large carrot and 1 bunch celery. Mix all ingredients and pour syrup over. Let stand for 24 hours. Will keep for 2 months or longer in refrigerator. |
