NASHVILLE HOUSE FRIED BISCUITS
1 qt. milk
1/4 c. sugar
2 2/3 pkg. dry yeast (or 1/6 c. yeast)
6 tsp. salt
7-9 c. flour

Add yeast to warm water. (Check yeast package for amount of water). Add other ingredients and let dough rise. Work into biscuits and drop into hot fat to fry. (Fat should be slightly hotter than 350 degrees.) Serves 7 dozen.

Biscuits can be frozen individually and stored in plastic bags. Note: Don't let biscuits rise too high and don't let the fat get too hot or biscuits will be soggy in the center.
