OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING 
4 c. bread crumbs, soft
2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. raisins (optional)

Place bread crumbs in 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Scald milk with butter, pour over crumbs. Add sugar, eggs, salt and cinnamon. Blend well. Top with raisins, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve warm with or without cream. 6 servings.
