MOM'S BUTTER HORNS 
1 cake yeast
3/4 c. warm milk
3 c. flour
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla

Prepare this dough 8 hours ahead and refrigerate.

FILLING:

1 stiffly beaten egg white
Brown sugar
Cinnamon

1. Dissolve yeast in milk and let stand while mixing other ingredients.

2. Mix flour, sugar and butter like pie crust.

3. Beat egg yolks and add to milk. Add vanilla to milk mixture.

4. Add milk mixture to flour.

5. Refrigerate overnight or 8 hours.

1. Roll out dough to less than 1/4 inch thick.

2. Spread with egg white and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.

3. Cut into wedges and roll into crescent shapes.

4. Allow to rise about 1 1/4 hours.

5. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes. Frost with XXX sugar and butter frosting.
