ONE-BOWL DINNER ROLLS 
2 3/4 to 3 1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar (1/8 c. honey)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
5 tbsp. softened butter
2/3 c. hot tap water
1 egg
Melted butter

Mix 3/4 cup flour, sugar, and yeast in bowl. Add softened butter. Gradually add water and beat 2 minutes. Add egg and enough flour (1/2 cup) to make a thick batter. Beat 2 minutes. Add more flour to make soft dough. Turn onto floured board and knead 8-10 minutes.

Place in greased bowl, turning to coat top. Cover and let rise 1 hour. Punch down. Divide into 2 equal pieces. Roll out each piece to a 9 x 12 oblong.

Brush with melted butter and ut into 12 strips, one inch wide. Form into desired shapes, such as knots, coils, or crescents. Place on greased baking sheet 2 inches apart. Cover and let rise 1 hour. Brush with melted butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
