TOFFEE TREAT 
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
2 c. finely chopped pecans, toasted

Combine first three ingredients in 3 quart saucepan. Dissolve sugar by cooking over low heat. Cover and cook over medium heat 2 or 3 minutes. Uncover and cook to hard crack stage (300 degrees). Turn off heat and add vanilla.

Pour quickly into greased jelly roll pan (15x10x1). Spread to edges of pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of chocolate morsels. Let stand 1 minute and spread. Sprinkle nuts and let cool until hard. Flip over and repeat using chocolate melted in microwave or double boiler. Sprinkle with nuts. Cool and break into pieces.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
