SOUR CREAM CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted 1/2 c. butter, melted 2 eggs 1 c. sour cream Dash of vanilla 1/4 c. hot water 2 c. sifted cake flour 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt Blend first 6 ingredients together. Blend flour, sugar, soda, and salt. Combine by putting dry ingredients into wet. Blend 2 minutes. Put in two 8- inch pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. SOUR CREAM FROSTING: 4 c. unsifted powdered sugar 1/2 c. sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 c. soft butter Combine in bowl and beat. If too thick, add a few drops of milk. |
