BAKED RAVIOLI "LASAGNA" | |
2 (20 oz.) Frozen Cheese Ravioli Packages 1 lb. Bulk Sweet Italian Sausage 1 cup Diced Onion 2 cloves Minced Garlic 32 oz. Pasta Sauce 2 whole Dried Bay Leaves 8 oz. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese 1 tsp. Dried Parsley For Sauce: Brown sausage in 2 qt. sauce pan. Add diced onion and minced garlic. Then, sauté and stir until onions begin to look translucent. (For a healthier option, drain excess fat before adding onion and garlic.) Add your favorite pasta sauce and bay leaves to pan, stir, and bring to a simmer. Simmer for minimum of fifteen minutes, stirring occasionally. For Lasagna: Preheat oven to 350°F. Spoon thin layer of sauce on bottom of 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Create a single layer of frozen ravioli, with each ravioli touching the next. (Approximately 5 rectangular ravioli per row.) Repeat until bottom of dish is covered. Spoon sauce over layer of ravioli evenly. Repeat a second layer of frozen ravioli and sauce. Evenly spread layer of shredded mozzarella on top and sprinkle with parsley. Bake in oven, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned. Serves 8. Submitted by: Tanya R |
