BANANA NUT CAKE 
Cake:

1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups mashed, ripe bananas
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, bananas and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in pecans. Pour into greased 15 x 10 loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. Cool completely and frost.

Frosting:

1/2 cup butter
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
4 cups powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup pecans, chopped

With electric mixer, beat all ingredients except pecans until light and fluffy. Stir in pecans. Swirl over cooled cake.
