Green grape leaves Cucumbers, 4 to 5 inches long 8 heads of dill & stems 2 tsp. ground horseradish 2 tsp. mustard seed 2 qt. or 4 pt. jars 2 lg. onions, sliced 5 c. water 1/2 c. vinegar 1/3 c. salt 2 cloves of garlic instead of onions (optional) Line bottom of jars with grape leaves. Halve the cucumbers lengthwise. Put cucumbers into jars. To each jar add dill, horseradish, mustard seed and onions. Boil vinegar, water and salt. Pour into jars over cucumbers and seal. Divide your ingredients evenly with the amount of jars that you will be using. |
