SAUSAGE - EGG CASSEROLE | |
9 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. dried mustard 1 1/2 plus lb. sausage 3 c. milk 3 slices white bread, cubed (I cut most of the crust off) 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. plus grated Cheddar cheese Brown and drain sausage. Beat eggs and combine with milk, salt and mustard. Stir in bread and cheese. Pour into 9 x 12-inch dish previously sprayed with Pam. Add sausage last (DO NOT STIR). Store in refrigerator overnight. Put in cold oven. Turn oven to 350°F and cook for 45 minutes. Note: I brown 2 pounds sausage and save some for gravy. Serves 12. |
