CHEDDAR CRISPIES 
1 (9 oz.) sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
3/4 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. rice krispies
Cayenne or Tabasco to taste

Cream butter; add cheese and work until blended. Add salt and cayenne; knead until in holds together. Knead in rice krispies. Roll teaspoon quantities of dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press down with fork, so cookies are about 1/4 inches thick. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove to rack and cool. Store in airtight container.
