DELICIOUS CHICKEN GARDEN SOUP | |
1 whole chicken, cooked, deboned 6 tsp. chicken base, flavor, or bouillon 1 lb. egg noodles (lg.) 2 green peppers, chopped lg. pieces 2 onions, chopped 5 potatoes, peeled and chopped 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced 1 tsp. crushed garlic 1/2 tsp. crushed black pepper In a very large pot, boil one whole chicken until very tender, add to water 3 teaspoons of chicken base or bouillon. Remove tender chicken from boiling water, and let cool. (Meantime, in a separate pot of boiling salted water, boil egg noodles until soft.) Remove any fat from top of chicken water. Add chopped green peppers, onions, and potatoes to chicken broth water, and cook until tender. Add 1 teaspoon crushed garlic to water, pepper, and 3 more teaspoons of chicken base or bouillon. Add boned chicken, drained noodles, and mushrooms. Simmer 10 minutes only. |
