WHITE BREAD 
6 c. flour
1 tbsp. dry yeast
2 c. warm water
2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. shortening

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water; mix well. Add flour, sugar; mix well. Add shortening; let stand about 15 minutes. Add flour and salt. Knead for about 8 minutes. Let stand in warm place; knead. Let stand about 45 minutes or until about double in size. Let stand 15 minutes; make into loaves. Let rise until double in size, about 2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
